How to Link your Aadhar Number At Home
Finally after a long waiting IVR has given a way to Link Aadhar Number with Mobile Phone at Home. I think that all of you are aware of the process Aadhar Link (Re-verification). If you don't not know then I am here to help you with that.
Why Aadhar Link is compulsory???
The government had announced that all mobile subscribers, including those having pre-paid SIM cards, to have their phone number linked to Aadhaar without fail. There are over 100 crore mobile subscribers in India.The Supreme Court had directed Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government on February 6, 2017, to register details of identity of every mobile user within a year. The court also directed the Centre to device a way so that each person with a pre-paid sim would have to fill and deposit a form whenever he or she recharges. This is why Aadhar Link is Compulsory
How to do Aadhar Link???
-Visit your nearest Aadhaar centre to get the Aadhar Update/Correction Form or download it from the UIDAI website.
-Fill out the form and submit it to the concerned person at the centre and mention on the form that only mobile number is to be updated.
-While submitting the update form, along with photocopy of your Aadhaar card you also need to provide photocopy of an Identity proof document such as PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID card
- After the form submission, your biometrics will be verified at the enrolment centre. Your thumb impression will be verified.
- After biometrics verification, you will be given an acknowledgement slip. Usually it takes 2-5 working days for the updation to happen but as per the UIDAI helpline the turnaround time for the updation is 10 days.
But this has become a big problem to those people who cannot visit the offline store like aged people, the people who are out of India and the NRI. So, to over come this problem IVR has given a way to Link your Aadhar Number to your mobile phone by setting at home.
Just Call 14546..... Very easy...
To Link Aadhar Number with your mobile phone just Call to 14546 it doesn't depend which sim card you have, this is valid for every sim and follow the step given below
1) When you call 14546, you will be asked to select whether you are an India national or an NRI by selecting the respective option.
2) Next, you will have to give consent to link Aadhaar with your phone number by pressing 1.
3) After that, you need to provide your Aadhaar number and press 1 to confirm
4) This step generates the OTP, which you will receive on your mobile phone
5) Now, you need to enter your phone number.
6) Here, you are asked to give consent your operator to pick your name, photo and date of birth from UIDAI data base
7) The IVR now mentions the last four digits of your number to confirm that you have keyed in the right number
8) If the number is correct, you can enter the OTP you received on SMS
9) You must press 1 to complete the Aadhaar-mobile number re-verification process
10)If you hold another phone number,you can link that too by pressing 2 and following the steps provided by the IVR system. Keep your other mobile phonehandy as you will receive the OTP on this number.
As far Airtel, Vodafone and Idea has activited the service but with the jio customers are facing some problems like call is disconnecting in the middle of the process.
