On Friday, Government of India announced the decision to take the tax on importing phones , television and camera and other electronic devices. For wellfare of our country. Government decided to take 15 percent of tax instead of 10 percent that means 5 percent of tax on importing phones , television and camera and other electronic devices has increased.
After a couple of days from the announcement Apple has increased their prices on there iPhones in India. Because the import tax was increased by 5 percent. From this all iPhone mobiles are effected except the iPhone SE this is the only one which has the same rate.
iPhone x 64GB is now available at 92,430 rs (instead of 89,000) it has increased by 3.6% and iPhone x 256 GB is now at 1,05,720rs (instead of 1,02,000rs) it has increased by 3.9%. iPhone 8 and 8 plus is now available at 79,420rs and 88,750rs (instead of 77,000rs and 86,000) respectively. iPhone 7 and 7 plus in now at 59,910rs and 70,180rs (instead of 58,000rs and 68,000) respectively. iPhone 6s and 6s plus is now at 50,740rs and 59,860rs (instead of 49,000rs and 58,000rs) respectively.For more info look below..
In all Apple as increase their iPhones price average around 3.6%, But the one which is the major difference in price is iPhone 6 it is now available at 30,780rs (instead of 29,500rs) it has increased by 4.3%. This is the one iPhone that has major difference in the pricing before increase in the tax and after.
Their is only one iPhone that hasn't increase in their pricing that is iPhone SE. This is the iPhone which has same MRP that is 26,000rs for 32GB variant and 35,000rs for 128GB variant because it has been assembled in India seen may 2017 so it is unaffected by import tax.
Apple company has increased their iPhones price for two reasons
1. Due to increase in import tax
2. 88 percent of the phones of the Apple company are sold out in India.
For this two reasons they has increased the price of the iPhones.
