The Tata Racemo turned quite a few heads when the company started showing up their car models at the 2017
Geneva Motor Show.Now,the car showed up in
Auto Expo 2018 and well the Tata motors gave a big suprise here too.It brought in the Racemo 003 which is an all electric version of
Racemo.The Racemo is of two-seater sports car that sits under four meters in length and sports a rear-mounted mid-engine.The one showcased at Geneva was powered by the 1.2 litre turbocharged Revotron aluminum engine and astonishingly has 6-speed AMT(Automatic Manual Transmission) provided with paddle shift.The car output is 186 bhp and it has 210 Nm of peak torque.Tata says that the Racemo reaches 100 kmph in under 6 seconds.They also stated that the car uses a special body that has Tata's MOFLex muli-material sandwich structure.Tata also says this a structural technology that enables greater freedom in surface design, efficient large-scale part integration leading to modularity and faster time to market.

The all electric version of the Racemo given 'Racemo +-' as the model name and it also runs in petrol power.However the one which is showed up in Auto Expo 2018,comes with a 200 bhp(Brake Horse Power) electric motor that takes the power from the lithium battery pack.According to the reports from Tata Motors the Racemo +- can run upto 350 km on a single charge and there is also option for fast charge for battery pack.
The car Racemo+- is designed at Tata Motor's Design Studio in Turin,Italy.Racemo has element like the 'Humanity Line' and 'Diamond DLO' that draws on the Tata's design as we have seen on the recent cars of Tata stable.The Racemo has ground clearnace of 165mm and this important for the Indian roads and it also come down that what actually the suspension setup is like and we will know more when we get the chance to drive.
